Not just a tick box exercise!

This month we undertook the first ever tick survey on campus to further increase our knowledge about the biodiversity on site. This knowledge enables us to continue employing evidence-based decision making that will benefit both wildlife and people. Read on to find out what we found!


Sustainability in action: Our progress so far

Staff and students are part of Warwick鈥檚 Sustainability Action Groups, working on projects from climate literacy training to circular economy initiatives - and much more. We spoke to Professor Stephanie Panichelli-Batalla (Global Sustainable Development) to find out what impact the groups have made this year, and how they are helping to drive positive change across Warwick.

Yellow Rattle Blossoms: Small Seeds, Big Change

A year after sowing yellow rattle on the Dinosaur Field, the University is already seeing the benefits of this remarkable native wildflower. Known as the 鈥渕eadow maker鈥, yellow rattle helps reduce the dominance of grasses, creating the conditions needed for a greater diversity of wildflowers and pollinators to thrive.
