Interview with Ros Roke, Chair of the Social Inclusion Staff Forum

This year, the Social Inclusion team have been implementing our reviewed and refreshed engagement framework.

As part of this work, we have established a new Social Inclusion Staff Forum chaired by Ros Roke, Director of the Strategic Delivery Unit.

The Forum is a work and professional staff networking group to develop a community of practice for social inclusion. It is open for all staff who deliver, or would like to contribute to, inclusion work at Warwick.

We spoke to Ros about the purpose of the Forum, what issues they've working on, how this fits with other engagement groups, and what the Forum have planned for the future. Watch the video to hear more...

Our Engagement Framework

The Social Inclusion Engagement Framework details some of the key ways the Social Inclusion team listens to and collaborates with staff across the University to work towards our Social Inclusion Objectives.

Following extensive consultation with staff and experts from inside and outside the university and with our community, we have been transitioning to the new model this year. A key purpose of this work is to create a mechanism for collaboration as a social inclusion community of practice, including routes of reporting, escalation, and consultation.

We will be reviewed this new approach at the end of the year to evaluate its effectiveness and hear from our community on how it's going.

"This year we really want to focus on bringing a wider variety of themes and topics to the Forum and helping, enabling , and encouraging members to feel that it is a forum for them as well."

Ros has supported inclusion work at Warwick for many years and has years of experience in education leadership.
