Sharing your research
An important part of the URSS is sharing your research with others. This provides an opportunity to celebrate your work, develop your communication skills, and engage with audiences both within and beyond the University.
As part of the programme, you will be expected to produce a project output to share at the URSS Showcase, where you can present your research to fellow students, staff and external visitors. You will also be encouraged to develop a public engagement activity, providing you with an opportunity to share your research with members of the public in an accessible and engaging way.
There are a range of opportunities to take your research further, including participating in the Warwick Institute of Engagement (WIE) 鈥�Resonate RoadshowLink opens in a new window鈥�, which provides a platform to share research with public audiences. You may also wish to consider applying to present your work at the International Conference of Undergraduate ResearchLink opens in a new window (ICUR)or the British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR), or explore the possibility of publishing your research in the .
Support is available from the Warwick Institute of Engagement to help you develop your public engagement activities and outputs. Further guidance will also be provided throughout the URSS to help you make the most of these opportunities and share your research with different audiences.
Final project output
Your project output can take many forms 鈥� choose what is most appropriate to your subject, research and audience, and feel free to be creative!
Previous URSS outputs have included documentary films, posters, academic papers and 鈥楾hree Minute Thesis鈥� presentations. You could also create a video, podcast, blog, website, digital exhibition, zine, photography project or other digital output.
We encourage you to discuss your ideas with your URSS supervisor, who can help you decide on an appropriate format and how best to communicate your research.

Public engagement outputs
You鈥檒l also need to create a public engagement output for your project. This is a way of presenting your work to people outside the university. Again, we encourage you to be creative.

URSS showcase on campus
The URSS showcase in November takes place on campus and is a great opportunity to share your research with staff, students and those from outside the university too.
The event will take place on Wednesday 11 November 2026, 12-4pm in the Panorama Room in the Rootes Building.
It鈥檚 not compulsory but we encourage you to attend as it is part of the URSS experience and will enable you to develop the essential research skill of communicating your findings.
