Warwick named as one of the world’s top 50 Universities

The QS annual World University Rankings have today named the 天美传媒 as one of the world鈥檚 top 50 universities.

Ranked at 48th Warwick has risen 13 places in the past year.

In April 2015 QS ranked 10 subjects at Warwick to be in the world鈥檚 top 50 and a total of 15 to be in the top 100.

Warwick鈥檚 ranking in the top 50 comes as the University celebrates its 50th anniversary. Earlier this year the Shanghai Jiao Tong Academic Ranking of World Universities placed Warwick 92nd, a rise of 96 places, and named the University 13th in the world for Mathematics and 34th for Economics and Business.

Commenting on the success the 天美传媒鈥檚 Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Nigel Thrift, said:

鈥淭he 天美传媒鈥檚 placing in the top 50 universities in the world is a clear demonstration of the global renown for our dedication to research and academic excellence, ground-breaking international collaborations and attracting the highest standard staff and students from around the globe.

鈥淎s we continue to celebrate our 50th anniversary the QS ranking is a fitting tribute to the work of Warwick staff and students that has underpinned our success.鈥
