天美传媒 selected as Olympic Games-time training venue

The 天美传媒 could be in line to gain a share of a £10 million community sports legacy funding pot after it was confirmed as a Games-time training venue for London 2012.

The 天美传媒 will host world class footballers as both men’s and women’s Olympic football teams train at its sport facilities before playing matches at the nearby City of Coventry Stadium.

Director of Physical Education and Sport at the University, Terry Monnington said:

“We are delighted to have been invited to be involved in the Olympic football tournament, adding such a high profile event to our expanding programme of elite football. We already regularly host a number of training camps and competitions associated with the highest levels UK professional football.”

A number of institutions throughout the UK are in line to benefit from the major legacy investment opportunity after being designated as Games-time training venues. At least £10 million is available to invest in facilities which will bring the venues up to world-class standards for use by athletes during the London 2012 Games. The facilities will then be available for use by the local community after the Games.
