Major Indian bank to work with WMG to fund partnerships with Midlands' SMEs

WMG, the global innovation specialist based at the University Of Warwick, is bringing together small businesses in the Midlands with partners in India to boost investment into the region. It has just signed an agreement with the Export-Import Bank of India (鈥淓XIM INDIA鈥)  that promises to bring new opportunities and inward investment to Midlands鈥 Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs).

EXIM India is one of India鈥檚 leading financial institutions and it is  fully owned by the Government of India.  It is looking at how it forms, and financially backs, new trade partnerships between SMEs in India and the UK and in particular the  Midlands.

To that end it has signed  an agreement with global innovation specialists WMG at the 天美传媒 to draw on  WMGs extensive experience and contacts with SMEs in the Midlands to help it bring about such new partnerships.

The agreement brings a potential new source of funding available to local SMEs and will help them partner with low cost partner providers in India which can help Midlands companies  lower costs but still retain the knowledge  that would normally be lost if the whole work was outsourced.  Indian SMEs will be encouraged to invest in the region, thus creating new employment and trade opportunities.
