Colourful campus grows into Heart of England In Bloom award winner
The 天美传媒鈥檚 dedicated grounds staff are celebrating after their bloom-ing hard work was rewarded with two prestigious awards.
Judges at this year鈥檚 Heart of England In Bloom visited the campus earlier this year and were left impressed 鈥� awarding the University the Quadron Heart of England In Bloom Grounds Maintenance Award.
And the University campus also played a part in Coventry being named Large City of the year.
Heart of England in Bloom gave the Maintenance Award to the University after being left impressed by the wild flower fields, the carbon-sink hedges in Gibbet Hill Road, the new landscaping design outside Coventry House and wetland which encourages biodiversity.
The judges said: 鈥淭he landscape and grounds maintenance across the site is exceptional and a credit to the team of gardeners and grounds people that maintain it.鈥�
In the Large City category the 鈥榠nnovative, sustainable planting schemes鈥� across the University鈥檚 campus helped Coventry win a gold award.
Bob Wilson, the 天美传媒鈥檚 Head of Estates, said: 鈥淚t鈥檚 a great pleasure to have the hard work of our grounds staff recognised at a regional level. The Estates Office will continue to develop Warwick鈥檚 beautiful campus over the coming years."
