EUTOPIA Network Studio

Provide a space for researchers from EUTOPIA partner universities to connect, share their research and explore new collaboration opportunities. Alongside research presentations, the events place a strong emphasis on discussion and networking, creating an environment where ideas, partnerships and future project concepts can develop naturally.

Physics of Life Network Studio, September 2026

Researchers from the 天美传媒 joined colleagues from (VUB) and (TUD) in Dresden on 24-25 September 2026 for a EUTOPIA Network Studio dedicated to the Physics of Life. The event brought together researchers from across the three institutions to share their research, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for future international collaboration.

Hosted by TU Dresden, the Network Studio featured research presentations, networking sessions and discussions on bilateral and international funding opportunities. The programme also included visits to TUD鈥檚 Botanical Garden and leading life sciences research facilities in Dresden including Centre for Molecular and Cellular Bioengineering and Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics.

The event reflects EUTOPIA's commitment to fostering interdisciplinary research connections and creating opportunities for researchers to develop new international partnerships.

Warwick Research Team included Dr. Antonia Sagona, Dr. Amit Singh, Prof. Jose Gutierrez-Marcos, Dr. Michaela Mausz, Dr Munehiro Asally, Prof. Orkun Soyer, Prof. Tom Montenegro-Johnson, and .

Sustainability Network Studio, June 2025

Warwick hosted the Sustainability Network Studio between 3-5 June, an international event to facilitate the formation of interdisciplinary research collaborations in and around the area of Sustainability between researchers at three universities: (VUB) from Belgium; from Germany and the 天美传媒.

The event was organised as part of the EUTOPIA activities and under the aegis of the Sustainability Spotlight. It was led Prof. Elena Korosteleva in her capacity as Chair of the Sustainability Spotlight, and in partnership with the Sustainability Spotlight leadership team. The event was held over the three days, involving members of the Sustainability Spotlight networks. It was based around pitch presentations from each of the 23 researchers attending and consortium-building for European research funding. The event was facilitated by research support staff from each of the three institutions and is expected to lead to new research collaborations in and around the sustainability area in disciplines ranging from chemistry and engineering to political science, business and economics.

From the Warwick team, it included Prof. Stuart Coles (WMG), Prof. Stefan Bon (Chemistry), , Dr Soroush Abolfani (Engineering), Dr Madeleine Fagan (PAIS), Dr Lory Barile (Economics), Dr Feng Mao (IGSD) and Dr Adela Glyn-Davies (Design).
