Registration

You are accepted into the University for a given degree course, and remain registered for that course unless you make a successful application to transfer to another course.

At the start of term 1, you need to register for the options including any unusual options that you wish to take. Follow the link to eMR (eVision Module Registration) to find the relevant dates and a link to the eVision portal. It is your responsibility to check that your option choices satisfy your course specifications. If you change course after the start of the year you will need to re-register for a new set of modules appropriate for the new course.

At the start of term 2 you can add or delete optional modules from your list. After the end of this period, you cannot register for any more modules. You should check that after any changes your choices still satisfy your course specifications. Be careful not to de-register inadvertently from core modules. At the end of this period your module registrations become your provisional examination registrations.

If you are considering making a transfer you should first consult your tutor and, if necessary, the Senior Tutor. It is possible to transfer between the three-year and four-year variants of the courses at any time before end of your second academic year. If the transfer is to another department, it is your responsibility to obtain confirmation from the other department that they would accept you.

The formal process for making a course transfer requires you to make an application via Student Records. This will be sent automatically to the Physics undergraduate office for approval. If the transfer involves another department, it will then be sent to the second department for approval by them.
