About

I am a PhD researcher in Media and Communication Studies at the 天美传媒. I previously completed an MA in Ethnographic and Documentary Film at University College London. I am also an independent documentary filmmaker, and my work has been recognized at international film festivals, including One World Media and the Open City Documentary Festival.

Research interests

My PhD research explores sustainable production practices in the Chinese film and television industry, examining how industrial structures, environmental policies, and production cultures shape the adoption of sustainable approaches.

I use qualitative methods, including semi-structured interviews with industry professionals, to examine how filmmakers and production workers understand environmental responsibility and how organisational practices, industrial priorities, and institutional frameworks shape their decision-making.

My PhD research is supervised by Professor Pietari K盲盲p盲.
