Habitat enhancement work on main campus
As part of our ongoing commitment to biodiversity and ecological stewardship, targeted habitat enhancement work to the south of our main campus, between Radcliffe Conference Centre and the Sports Hub, has been undertaken in recent months. This work has included hedgelaying, sowing yellow rattle seeds in the meadow, and bullrush reduction to ponds.
Endangered crayfish move into ‘5-star hotel’ on Warwick campus
The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ is rolling out the red – or rather green – carpet for the UK’s only native freshwater crayfish species. Thirty white-clawed crayfish have just moved into a specially prepared ‘5-star hotel’ on campus, where they’ll be safe from invasive species and provided with everything they need to thrive.
