If you are living on campus for your first year, our residences are managed by Warwick Accommodation and you'll be supported by our Residential Community Team (RCT). The team of Residential Community Assistants (RCAs) are current Warwick students who offer peer support and run community building events. Look out for the RCAs in your residence and in the Residence Hubs -they'll be wearing pink t-shirts/hoodies and will be happy to chat.

To help you get the most from living on campus, the online residential handbook aims to help you settle in and answer any questions you might have about living in our campus residences, so we encourage you to familiarise yourself with the contents. We also have useful information for students living on campus on our website and a webpage that you might find useful for signposting to support and services.

Some first-year undergraduates are allocated a room with our partnership accommodation providers off campus. We work closely with our partner providers to ensure all eligible students are offered well managed accommodation with great social spaces and amenities that help provide a vibrant environment and a strong sense of belonging. Your accommodation provider will also have a dedicated team on site to support with your experience of living in your accommodation and can signpost you to Warwick’s support services should you need them.

If you are living with one of our partnership providers in your first year, you can be confident you’ll have full access to all of Warwick’s amenities, Student Support Services and events, including events hosted by the RCT, so you can immerse yourself in the Warwick community.

After your first year, students usually have the option to book a room on campus. Campus rooms for returners are limited and tend to be in high demand - they are offered on a first-come first-served basis, subject to availability. Our advice is to keep an eye on your emails and the Warwick Accommodation website for updates and announcements on when room bookings open for returning students if you would prefer to live on campus. Students who are support by Wellbeing and Student Support Services for specific accommodation requirements, are prioritised for a room on campus.

Most students move off campus after their first year and tend to live in Leamington Spa or Coventry. The University has a detailed website to help you with the transition to living off campus, including guidance on finding somewhere to live. This helpful resource can help you with everything from choosing what sort of accommodation to live in, picking your housemates, your tenancy rights, being a good neighbour and more.

Remember that finding the right housemates might take sometime, so don't rush if you are planning to live off campus. You don't have to find your home for the following academic year in the first term; there are plenty of houses available all year round so don't feel rushed to commit straight away. Of course – if you’d like to live on campus, you’ll need to try and book early to avoid disappointment.
