DESCRIPTION:References to public and community engagement have become nea
 r ubiquitous in the higher education context. Applications for research 
 funding demand stakeholder engagement\, universities integrate public en
 gagement into their strategies\, and the UK鈥檚 Research Excellence Framew
 ork 2029 includes 鈥淓ngagement and Impact鈥� as one of its three assessment
  elements. However\, these activities often omit the integration of key 
 actors in any university: taught students. The Pedagogies of Public and 
 Community Engagement Learning Circle\, shared by the Warwick Institute o
 f Engagement (WIE) and the Warwick International Higher Education Academ
 y (WIHEA) are delighted to announce the launch of a new curated handbook
  of 19 case studies of engaged pedagogic practice\, developed by Univers
 ity of Warwick staff and students. Spanning across and beyond all facult
 ies at the University\, on a wide range of activities from podcast assig
 nments to student-run teddy bear hospitals\, the handbook covers engagem
 ent both within modules and outside the regular curriculum. Explore the 
 guide\, and sign up to join us for our special launch event where we exp
 lore more of the case studies in depth and discuss how to move From Guid
 e to Action on Thursday 19 November\, 3-5pm - The Library. All staff and
  students are welcome.
