About Us
The Risk & Resilience Team leads the University鈥檚 approach to risk management, business continuity and major incident management, ensuring resilience is embedded across all areas of activity.
We are responsible for:
- Risk Management 鈥� developing and maintaining the University鈥檚 Risk Management Policy and Framework; supporting departments in identifying, assessing and managing risk; delivering training and guidance; and overseeing institutional risk reporting and governance.
- Business Continuity 鈥� establishing the Business Continuity Policy and Framework; supporting departments to develop and maintain plans; delivering training and exercises; and driving continuous improvement through testing and review.
- Major Incident Management 鈥� owning the University Major Incident Plan and coordinating the institutional response during incidents, including the activation and support of Major Incident Teams.

The Risk & Resilience Team works collaboratively with departments across the University to build capability, provide expert advice and support, and ensure a consistent and robust approach to resilience.
We are part of the Governance, Assurance and Risk Group, working alongside Governance, Information Security, Risk & Compliance, Health & Safety, Internal Audit, and Compliance & Assurance.
