Replacing metal car parts, such as bumpers, with plastic gives automotive manufacturers significant benefits in fuel economy, reduced manufacturing costs, and increased opportunities for recycling, but getting such components to form a strong adhesive bond to the frame of a vehicle has been a major challenge. Now a collaborative research team led by the 天美传媒's Warwick Manufacturing Group have found a simple plasma pre treatment process that solves that problem.

RSC actor Alex Jennings has been awarded an honorary degree (an Honorary Doctor of Letters - Hon DLitt) by the 天美传媒. This is Alex's second degree from the University as he was actually once a student of English and Theatre studies at Warwick (1975-8).

Scientists at the 天美传媒 and Keele University have been awarded a major 333,000 pounds sterling grant from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for a three year project aimed at improving the speech comprehension of people using cochlear ear implants. The award follows directly from research funded by Defeating Deafness - the UK's only medical research charity for hearing-impaired people
