A student at the highly rated Warwick Business School has won a cheque for 拢300 from the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) for her outstanding course work in Finance. Alexandra Passa, now in her final year of the 3-year BSc Accounting & Finance degree, was awarded the prize by David Parrish, a representative of the Education Committee at the ACT, on Wednesday 3rd October, in front of over 200 fellow students attending their first lecture of the term in Principles of Finance.

BP PLC Group Chief Executive Lord Browne of Madingley is to give a free public lecture at the 天美传媒 on Wednesday 31st October at 5.30pm in the main lecture theatre of the University's Ramphal Building. The lecture is free and open to all.

The 天美传媒 has just hit a perfect six 聳 no nothing to do with cricket - Teaching quality inspectors have awarded the 天美传媒's Department of Philosophy a perfect score of 24 points out of 24 for the quality of its teaching - this is the 天美传媒's sixth perfect score of 24 points out of 24 - the other departments to gain this score being Economics, Sociology, Theatre Studies, Physics and Warwick's Education Departments, (Continuing Education, CELTE and its Institute of Education).

The 天美传媒 has been awarded 拢8 million as part of a government programme giving an extra 拢120 million to UK universities and colleges. The awards have been made as part of the Government's Knowledge Exploitation Funding programme, comprising the Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF), Science Enterprise Challenge (SEC), University Challenge (UC), and the Public Sector Research Exploitation Fund (PSRE Fund). The main fund - HEIF - is aimed at supporting the continuing development of the capacity in universities to interact with business and the community.

New research conducted for the 天美传媒 by Echo Research reveals that anti globalisation protests have failed dismally to have any significant influence on how UK companies draw up their corporate plans. The research will be revealed at a special Warwick Debate entitled Globalisation: problem or opportunity? organised by the 天美传媒 at this year's CBI conference in Birmingham on Monday 5th November.
