It is a double good news day for 天美传媒’s New BioMedical Research Institute. On the same day (Tuesday 14th May 2002) that Lord Wolfson comes to open the new Institutes’ Wolfson wing the new institutes’ researchers have announced that they have greatly simpified the model of how cancer starts.

The Times Good University Guide, published Friday 10th May 2002, ranks the 天美传媒 as the Midland's top University. The University of Warwick is ranked 6th overall in the UK.

Benjamin Plant an undergraduate student at the 天美传媒 has won a 拢6000 literary award for his fiction. Benjamin, who is in his third and final year of study who is reading English Literature and Creative Writing at Warwick, gained the Audrey Pipe Foundation Award despite stiff competition from fellow student-writers from the Midlands.

The 天美传媒 has just launched a new degree aimed to support health professionals who care for the dying. The new Masters degree in Applied Health Studies (Palliative Care) is a new flexible programme that aims to provide health professionals with the knowledge and skills for delivering high quality care and will encourage understanding of the different aspects involved in caring for patients suffering from progressive incurable diseases.

Research by Dr June McNicholas & Dr Glyn Collis of the 天美传媒’s Department of Psychology has found that increasing numbers of people are adopting both rabbits and ferrets as household pets, often as a result of changes on peoples work life balance, or the increasing number of single person households.

New research finds that national amnesties for agents of former regimes, used by countries such as Zimbabwe, Chile, and South Africa to try and ease the transition towards democratic government, are actually in conflict with international law and tend to fail in practice.
