Many bright young mathematicians never have the chance to demonstrate the full extent of their ability as limitations on school resources prevent them from studying for the Further Maths A level. But dozens of young people have escaped this trap thanks to a partnership between 天美传媒 mathematicians and a number of Coventry schools.

New research by 天美传媒 Professor of Politics Wyn Grant shows that present day fire service priorities are still being based on a sixty-five year old calculation that valued city centres over the lives of people in the suburbs and the countryside. He argues that the significant population shifts from city centres to the suburbs since 1938 make reform of these priorities long overdue and he says the opportunity presented by the current fire service modernisation debate and the Bain review should be used to rectify this problem.

Paramedics, A&E staff and NHS managers may now be looking at web browsers as often as they look at heart monitors as the National Electronic Library for Health today Friday 14th Februray launches a new electronic toolkit for emergency health care workers. It will be a key tool in the armoury of emergency services and hospitals working to meet the Government's target of 90% of all A&E patients seen and discharged/admitted in 4 hours by March 2003 and 100% by the end of 2004.

Researchers at the 天美传媒's Warwick Process Technology Group are leading a programme called "Hydrofueler" to connect petrol stations to the normal natural gas supply to fuel hydrogen powered vehicles. The 2.8 million euro EC funded three year research programme has already drawn interest from Exxon Mobil, and BMW.
