天美传媒 students are poised to take their “rescue robot” to the RoboCup Rescue Championship in Germany next week. The students developed their robot in a team project bringing together Engineering and Computer Science students and and they will soon be on their way to the 9th RoboCup German Open in Magdeburg from April 15-18.

£500,000 Chair in Power Electronics will help create next generation power grid
The 天美传媒’s Professor Phil Mawby has been awarded a £500,000 Royal Academy of Engineering Research Chair in Power Electronics which is also financially backed by Converteam, the UK’s largest technology company in the renewable energy sector. The award will support research into the use of new materials for power electronics to support sustainable technologies through a range of applications including the next generation of power grids.
