New research by the 天美传媒 and Humboldt university shows that the frequency of wars between states increased steadily from 1870 to 2001 by 2% a year on average. The research argues that conflict is being fed by economic growth and the proliferation of new borders.

天美传媒 Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift has announced today, Friday 24th June, a new Brazil Partnership Development Fund at the University. He announced the new fund immediately on his return from a delegation to Brazil of Cabinet Ministers and UK University Vice-Chancellors and business leaders, led by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.
