Key professions losing staff due to lack of support for student mothers

Key professions such as nursing, teaching and social work are losing thousands of potential recruits as student mothers drop out of higher education due to a lack of support from universities. The findings are revealed in new research out today (Wednesday 19 August) from the Institute for Employment Research at the 天美传媒, which was funded by the Nuffield Foundation.

Triple table success - Warwick ranked as one of the top 100 universities in the world in third table

The new Shanghai Jiao Tong Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), published on Saturday August 15th 2015, ranks the 天美传媒 among the top 100 universities in the world. Warwick is now ranked 92nd in the world in that table, a jump of 96 places on the previous year’s ranking.

WMG establishes new National Plastics Processing Centre

WMG at the 天美传媒 has established a new National Plastics Processing Centre (NPPC) which will provide a national hub for innovation and research in plastics processing.


Warwick students to develop sustainable energy in Tanzania

Engineering students from the 天美传媒 are heading to Tanzania to install and maintain sustainable energy technology.

Members of the University’s Engineering Without Borders society, the team will work with ILoveWindPower as part of a Member Led Partnership (MLP) to maintain previously installed technology and install new solar panels at the community centre in Kemgesi, a village close to the Serengeti National Park.
