Students from WMG at the 天美传媒, who designed and built a submarine, were the UK champions at the 2017 International Submarine Race (ISR) in Washington DC, USA.

Revolutionary physicist, Dr Don Eigler, has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the 天美传媒 in honour of his achievements in scientific research. Don Eigler was the first person to move individual atoms with a scanning tunnelling microscope (STM) while working at the IBM Almaden Research Center. His work is at the very heart of nanotechnology and he continues to push the boundaries of physics and nanoscience.

Engineer and leading UK rocket scientist Alan Bond received an honorary degree of Doctor of Science from the 天美传媒 on Tuesday 18^th July 2017. During the ceremony he revealed that the honorary degree from Warwick was particularly special to him due to a number of key Coventry and Warwickshire influences on his career and life.

The first student from the Monash Warwick Alliance to receive their degree in person graduated at the 天美传媒 this week.

A state-of-the-art Midlands regional cryo-electron microscopy (Cryo-EM) facility has been established, following a successful bid by the Universities of Warwick, Nottingham and Birmingham, led by the University of Leicester.
