Star鈥檚 self-destruction is presented in 3D

A 1,000-year-old supernova has been captured in 3D images that reveal yet unseen details of the elements that are ejected when a star explodes. Analysis of data collected by the 天美传媒 from the Multi-Unit Spectroscopic Explorer (MUSE) and X-shooter at the European Southern Observatory鈥檚 (ESO) Very Large Telescope (VLT), offers new insights into how stars self-destruct.

New podcast series explores consent in legal history and in courtrooms today

A new podcast series commissioned by legal historian Dr Laura Lammasniemi explores the history of sexual consent and asks whether understanding that history can help tackle present-day problems in securing convictions for sexual offences. The Age of Consent features thirteen expert voices, from academics to rape crisis workers and journalists, invited by Dr Lammasniemi to bring their own perspectives to the conversation.

Virgin Media O2-led consortium involving WMG, 天美传媒 wins DCMS 鈥淒iversifying the 5G Supply Chain鈥 competition

A consortium led by a team from Virgin Media O2 has won a DCMS grant to explore possible Open RAN solutions and encourage 5G vendor diversity. The winning project team also featured technology giant CISCO; global edge platform Ori Industries; WMG at the 天美传媒 who will ensure the security of the platform; and rural network provider, operator and hardware vendor, wavemobile Ltd.

New 10-year project aims to decarbonise industry and manufacturing in the Black Country

WMG at the 天美传媒 and Loughborough鈥檚 School of Business and Economics will be working with West Midlands Mayor Andy Street on a new project aimed at reducing the amount of industrial CO2 in the Black Country.


Record-breaking runner inspires local school pupils at outreach event

Students from six local schools were welcomed onto the Warwick University campus for the first in-person outreach event since the covid-19 pandemic. The event, featuring marathon runner Nick Butter, was part of the University鈥檚 wide-ranging programme of activities designed to break down perceived barriers, challenge myths about university, and encourage young people to aim high.

New Faculty of Arts Building puts collaboration and engagement at the heart of a new campus 鈥榗ultural quarter鈥

On 6th December, the new Faculty of Arts Building will open its doors to students, staff and the public. The 拢57.5m eight storey building, designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and constructed by Bowmer + Kirkland, brings together a diverse and international mix of minds from all walks of life, creating the optimum environment for generating a universe of ideas.
