Congratulations to our Class of 2026 Graduates

The Department of Economics extends its warmest congratulations to all students graduating this summer.

On Tuesday 28 July, undergraduate and postgraduate students will gather in Butterworth Hall at Warwick Arts Centre for the 11am graduation ceremony, celebrating one of the most important milestones of their Warwick journey.

Graduation is a special occasion for students, families, friends and staff alike, recognising years of hard work, personal growth and academic achievement, while marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Head of Department, Professor Jeremy Smith, said:

"It has been a real privilege to see you grow and develop during your time in the Department of Economics at Warwick, and I want to say how proud we are of all you have achieved. Each of you has contributed to the distinct character of our department—bringing curiosity to your studies, rigour to your thinking, and generosity to the community around you.

鈥淕raduation is a special milestone. It marks not only the end of your degree, but also the many challenges you have taken on and the resilience you have shown in meeting them. I hope you take a moment to reflect on all of that, and to celebrate it fully. As you move on, you do so as Warwick economists: equipped not just with knowledge and technical skills, but with a way of thinking about the world that will serve you in many different paths. You also remain part of our community. We will be following your journeys with great interest and pride, and we would always love to hear from you - so please do stay in touch and share your successes with us."

Graduates and their guests attending the Department's post-ceremony reception are reminded that the event will take place from 12.30pm to 3.00pm in the Panorama Suite, Rootes Building.
