WMG Late Arrival Form – 2026
The official start date for all WMG Master鈥檚 is Monday 28 September 2026 with the commencement of "Welcome Week". You should make every effort to arrive on campus and be ready to start your course by this date. Welcome Week includes important induction activities, academic information and study skills sessions to help you prepare for your Master鈥檚 course. It is also a chance to meet other students and become familiar with the campus, facilities, support services, and key WMG staff.
The following week (starting 5th October), formal teaching for your first module will begin alongside the Transition into Master's Studies (TIMS) programme, which focuses on preparing for study at master's level, alongside other important introductory sessions.
These two weeks are important, but we understand that some students may face unavoidable delays. If this applies to you, please complete this form below. We will email you to confirm whether your late arrival request has been approved. If approved, you will need to catch up on the material you have missed.
Note that the latest possible start date for all WMG taught MSc courses is Monday 12 October 2026. If you cannot arrive by this date, then regrettably you will need to withdraw from the course or defer your entry to October 2027.
Important: If you expect to arrive on or before Monday 28 September 2026, you do not need to complete this form.
