Global experts to gather at WMG for the UK's first Advanced Elastomers Forum

Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) at the 天美传媒 will host the UK's first Advanced Elastomers ForumLink opens in a new window in February 2027.

Taking place on Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 February, the two-day event will bring together researchers, engineers, manufacturers, and technology developers from across academia and industry to explore the latest advances in elastomer science, materials design, AI-driven development, manufacturing technologies, and product validation.

Elastomers are critical to a range of sectors, including automotive, energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure.

As demand grows for more durable, energy-efficient and recyclable materials, the Forum will provide a platform to address the key technical and sustainability challenges facing the industry.

WMG's Nanocomposites Research GroupLink opens in a new window is hosting the event to bring together academia and industry to advance next-generation elastomer technologies.

Confirmed speakers will include experts at the forefront of sustainable elastomer development, advanced manufacturing and materials innovation.

In addition to hearing from the best in the field, delegates will have the chance to tour WMG鈥檚 state-of-the-art International Institute for Nanocomposites Manufacturing (IINM)Link opens in a new window, one of the world's leading facilities for elastomers and polymer nanocomposite research and development.

"Advanced elastomers are enabling innovation across a wide range of industries, from transportation and healthcare to energy and robotics鈥, said , Professor of Polymer Nanocomposites at WMG, who is leading the Advanced Elastomers Forum.

"The Forum will bring together experts from academia and industry to share knowledge, explore technologies, and identify new opportunities for collaboration.

"By connecting fundamental research with industrial application, we aim to accelerate the development of sustainable, intelligent and high-performance elastomer solutions for the future."

Registration for Advanced Elastomers Forum 2027 is now open. Attendance is free, but places are limited.
