On Monday 4 November Warwick Medical School and the School of Life Sciences will be holding a joint event named ‘How to have it all: Stories of success from Women in Science’. This free event is open to all, and will take place in the Medical Teaching Centre Lecture Theatre at Gibbet Hill Campus.

The main themes this event will explore are:

• Overcoming challenges and returning from career breaks
• Transitioning from academia to industry
• Work/life balance
• Championing role models

11.00am – 11.30am: Dr Leanne Williams (SLS Senior Teaching Fellow and Associate Professor)

11.30am – 12.00pm: Dr Sarah McClelland (Lecturer, Barts Cancer Institute)

12.00pm – 1.00pm: Lunch break and networking (SLS atrium)

Session 2:

1.00pm – 1.30pm: Dr Jo Pennock (Senior Lecturer, Lydia Becker Institute of Immunology and Infection)

1.30pm – 2.00pm: Dr Kirsty Holden (Senior Scientist at EVOTEC, UK)

2.15pm – 2.45pm: Dr Divya Shah (Acting Head of Infection and Immunobiology, Wellcome Trust)

2.45pm – 3.15pm: Debbie Ringham (Research Engagement Manager, Cancer Research UK)

3.15pm – 4.15pm: Open panel discussion with options for anonymous question submission (Representatives from Warwick University, Human Resources, funding officers, UCU)
