An overview of my eaching responsiblities and some outreach activities are given below. See also the MathSys newsletterLink opens in a new window that a few students and myself put together when we were forced to work remotely!

Teaching

Graduate Teaching Assistant | 天美传媒 (2020-Present)

  • 2022/23: Multivariable Calculus (MA259) and Mathematical Methods and Modelling (MA145).
  • 2021/22: Stochastic modelling and random processes (MA933), Brownian motion (MA4F7), and Intro to PDEs (MA250).
  • 2020/21: Intro to PDEs (MA250), Algorithms (CS260), and Introduction to Mathematical Biology (MA256).
  • Additional duties: Exam marking and invigilation.

UK Graduate Modelling Camp | University of Oxford (2021)

  • Participant of UK Graduate Modelling Camp (virtually) working with five other PhD students to mathematically model how "Fish sperm locate an egg in open water".

HetSys Study Group | 天美传媒 (2020)

  • Participant of the HetSys virtual industry study group event in which myself and a small team developed mathematical modelling ideas for "Quantifying the degree of mixing in chocolate formulation" with Mondelez International.

Interdisciplinary article on complexity science (2020) - PDFLink opens in a new window

  • Article written for an interdisciplinary module discussing whether increased complexity in scientific models leads to less informative results.

UK Mathematics Trust Volunteer (2017-2019)

  • Roles have included student mentoring/tutoring for UKMT competitions, BMO marking and annual Maths Miniatures competition judging.
