WAMIC Early Career Researchers at the Big Bang Fair
The Early Career Researchers (ECR) Committee from the Warwick Antimicrobial Interdisciplinary Centre (WAMIC) had a fantastic time showcasing science at the Big Bang Fair in Birmingham (17th-19th June)!
We brought hands-on microbiology to the public with interactive demos highlighting bacterial infections and the urgent global issue of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
馃 Visitors explored bacterial plating and learned about viability assays with mock samples.
馃敩 Our microscope station let visitors view fungal structures up close.
馃З We also introduced protein modelling, where participants built the active site of an enzyme.
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by and to the passionate ECR team from WAMIC who made this possible!
