CIM co-authored paper named Runner-up for 2025 TVCG Best Paper Award
Professor Cagatay Turkay's paper "LEVA: Using Large Language Models to Enhance Visual Analytics" has been named Runner-up for the 2025 Best Paper Award in the "Visualization and Visual Analytics" area of IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG). The IEEE Computer Society Publications Board makes the awards based on nominations from each journal's awards committee.
The paper, co-authored with colleagues at Fudan University, presents LEVA, a framework that brings large language models into visual analytics workflows. LEVA supports analysts as they get started with a system, explore data and summarise their findings. The work was published in TVCG, Vol. 31, Issue 3 (2025).
