We have been awarded a grant 'HoPE - a HUB of Planetary Ecologies - for sustainability through research, education and societal impact', to build a new partnership with @ADA University in Azerbaijan. Looking forward to renewing our successful relations with , and their colleagues! And to growing our CPD offerings on Sustainability, further research funding opportunities, and developing a platform for a dual PGR degree.

Between 30 March – 5 April 2025, over 21 next-generation climate leaders from eight countries (and 13 nationalities), will attend Warwick鈥檚 pioneering Sustainability Training Academy in Venice. Launched in 2023 by the Institute of Global Sustainable Development (IGSD), and supported by the the Sustainability Training Academy equips early career researchers (ECRs) with the interdisciplinary analytical, methodological, and practical skills needed to address the systemic challenges of climate change, climate justice and climate transition.

Dr Aijan SharshenovaLink opens in a new window, Research Fellow, co-authored (with a Harvard University Research Fellow Dr Rahat Sabyrbekov) a large report on opportunities and barriers to introducing carbon pricing in the Kyrgyz Republic in Central Asia. The report employs mixed methods to estimate the possibility and the extent of difficulty to introduce such climate mitigation mechanism in a land-locked lower income country.
