Redrobe鈥檚 talk will reflect on the role of death in her recently released book, Undead: (Inter)(in)animation, Feminisms, and the Art of War (Oakland: University of California Press, May 6, 2025), which examines the visual culture of war, broadly understood, through a feminist, animated lens. Redrobe is Elliot and Roslyn Jaffe Professor in the Department of Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. She is the author of Vanishing Women: Magic, Film and Feminism; Crash: Cinema and the Politics of Speed and Stasis; and editor or coeditor of: Still Moving: Between Cinema and Photography; On Writing With Photography; Animating Film Theory; and Deep Mediations: Thinking Space in Cinema and Digital Cultures.
