This event invites participants from all disciplines to discuss how development should be understood at this juncture, the new imaginaries required to promote social justice in a globalised world facing significant social, political, economic and environmental challenges, and the priorities for future research, the two main questions to be address are:
· Is development an anachronism? If so, what concepts, grammars and epistemologies are required to address social justice in the global South?
· Does social justice provide a helpful intellectual framework within which to address these questions?
