Awarded by the School of Engineering, the accredited and interdisciplinary MSc Humanitarian Engineering (with Sustainability or Management) is an exciting and innovative programme designed for students from all disciplinary and professional backgrounds.

It brings together the expertise and insight of multiple disciplines to discover new and innovative solutions to the world's most pressing problems: water and environment; renewable energy; global health; sustainable cities, engineering, and supply chains; food security; urban data and resilience- as well as other timely topics underpinned by the UN's SDGs.

Full and part-time study applications are still being accepted for the 2022-23 academic year. Warwick students and alumni benefit from a 10% reduction in fees.

Student Leadership Opportunities 2022-23

Would you like to gain leadership, project management and event management skills and enhance your personal development?

My name is Andrea Christmas, and I am the Summer School Coordinator at The American University of Paris. I invite you to share the following information as well as the attached flyer with your French language students.

This year, AUP is offering two three-week Immersion sessions in June and July, which may be of interest to students at 天美传媒. There are courses available for all levels: from complete beginners to seasoned French speakers who want to brush up their written or spoken expression. Students can receive should they want to fulfill language requirements over the summer or work towards their degree.

Our French Immersion classes emphasize contemporary spoken French. Students also become conversant in digital media and enjoy playing with trends in a new language. Have a look at Summer 2019鈥檚 and accounts to get a sense of the ways that our faculty engage new media.

French Immersion at AUP also includes social experiences outside the classroom so that students can practice their French in context. Students have daily coffee and croissant breaks, and this year we have introduced two Friday outings per session. Faculty will lead these outings to towns near Paris like Nogent-sur-Marne and Fontainebleau, and will include visits to local sites and dinner.

Applications for the Spring Term UG Sprint programme starting in March 2022 are now open to all current female UG students.

What is Sprint? Sprint is an immersive female personal development programme for students delivered via 7 online sessions.

Designed by in conjunction with Oxford and Cambridge universities, in part to help address the gender pay gap imbalance, Sprint is designed to equip students with the skills required to enable them to accelerate their potential in all areas of life including academic, personal and career as well as developing a positive mind-set.

We are sorry to learn that Liliana Odjo, who studied Spanish with us in the Language Centre has died and we are thinking of her friends and family at this difficult time. Head of School and Professor of French Kate Astbury and her PhD student Abigail Coppins welcomed a delegation of Garifuna people to Portchester Castle on Wednesday 8th September 2021 to show them the fruits of Abigail's research into the prisoners of war from the Caribbean held their during the Revolutionary wars. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Warwick. This is just to let you know that there's no need to panic that you've not yet had details of module choices etc. We will explain the module choice and registration process to you in the visiting student welcome meeting in Welcome week, so the most important thing for now is that you attend that meeting in order to understand the process.

As that page explains, after the meeting we will send you a module request form by email which you will need to fill in and return, after having consulted the relevant pages on the SMLC website where we list which modules have spaces (for SMLC modules) and contacting departmental administrators for external depts. to get the same information if you want to study any modules outside of SMLC.

Everything will become much clearer once you've attended that first meeting!
