Postgraduate Taught SSLC and Student Voice Ambassadors
What is the SSLC?
The PGT Student-Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC) is a body made up of all postgraduate taught students based in the History department, facilitated by the PGT Director in conjunction with the department鈥檚 Student Voice Ambassadors.
It is a space in which students can discuss any general issues or concerns about their course, as well as work with academic staff to improve the History department for all students. You will be invited to the PGT SSLC directly.
Who are the Student Voice Ambassadors?
PGT Student Voice Ambassadors are appointed at the start of each academic year to represent the SSLC on departmental committees. In particular, they sit on the departmental Education Committee, which covers all aspects of learning and teaching in the department, including new modules, module allocation, assessment, and curricula.
They work closely with the PGT Director to devise strategies to collect student feedback and to inform students of actions taken as a result of feedback, and they liaise with the Students鈥� Union Academic Representation team.
Students can contact the Ambassadors with feedback, issues or concerns that they wish to bring to the department鈥檚 attention.
The Student Voice Ambassador for 2026-27 is TBC.
How can I give feedback or raise an issue to be discussed at the SSLC or in a department committee?
The SSLC meets multiple times through the year. You can ask for items to be added to the agenda by emailing pghistoryoffice@warwick.ac.uk or filling in our quick, anonymous .
